DECEMBER 16th, 2021:
We are updating our YouTube agreements to allow us to develop and refine our distribution system to YouTube's platform.
The specific changes taking affect are related to the percentage that Catapult will retain for monetized views within YouTube's platform as well as the YouTube Content ID setup fee.
Beginning with the 2022 January Finalized Report, Catapult will retain 25% of the earnings from monetized views via YouTube. This percentage is on average for the industry and is required to facilitate the further development of additional features for YouTube along with the refining of risk/fraud prevention.
Further, we are removing the setup fee for YouTube Content ID so artists and labels can submit their content into YouTube Content ID at no additional charge.
This change applies to all content distributed to YouTube by Catapult and no exceptions will be made. If this update to the agreement is unacceptable, you can deauthorize your content for YouTube Music or YouTube Content ID at anytime via your dashboard at Catapult.
