When submitting a Songwriter, Composer or Lyricist and to properly credit them, you must use the full legal names rather than an artist pseudonym, band name, stage name, rapper name, etc. (If you don't know the songwriter, click here for more.)
For example, check out the Lecrae song "Set Me Free" on Spotify here.
The primary artist names are listed as:
- Lecrae
- YK Osiris
However, when you look at the credits for that song in Spotify, you will see that the artists' real names are listed as songwriters. The real names of the songwriters are:
- Christopher Hulvey
- Erica Campbell
- Gabriel Azucena
- JRaul Garcia
- Lecrae Moore
- Osiris Williams
- Torey D'Shaun
- Trecina Campbell
- Warryn Campbell
